Indies Workshop
A home for independent game designers in Seattle
Where game designers meet
Indies Workshop was created to provide a year-round community for the thriving independent game developer community in Seattle.
Founder Christopher Floyd had been working from home and saw an opportunity to connect game designers who were happily independent but missed the social connections that working in a big studio offered. Their space offers all the perks of working for a large gaming studio without the drawbacks, which proved a valuable asset during the pandemic when they were able to support one another both socially and professionally.
Managing a tight-knit community
Christopher needed an elegant solution to manage members without giving them too many extra steps. As a current developer himself, he also wanted to ensure that whatever setup he chose, it would be simple to automate so that he’d never have to spend time managing his management tool.
A setup for success
Cobot’s member management options proved to be the ideal solution for a small team with big goals. Christopher set up automated billing and payments, added membership plans, and branded the experience using the white-label functionality included in every subscription. Now, he only needs to use the system to check on the latest numbers.
That means that he’s free to spend more of his time designing games!
